The ABE Currency Fund was launched in January 2013 and is based in the Cayman Islands. The Fund has an investment management agreement with TAF Capital Pty Ltd which is based in Western Australia. TAF Capital is managed by currency specialist Michael Prendiville. The Fund’s philosophy is to maximize investor returns with a sharp focus on capital preservation. The Fund’s investment objective is to deliver capital appreciation by taking short to medium term currency positions. The Fund adopts a number of discretionary trading strategies in the G20 & Asian currency space and is able to leverage the assets under management.

Biography:

Michael Prendiville is the founder & Managing Director of TAF Capital Pty Ltd. TAF Capital is located in Perth, Western Australia & has been operating since August 2012. TAF is the Investment Manager for the ABE Fund which is based in the Cayman Islands. The ABE Fund was launched in January 2013 & has achieved an attractive level of success to date thanks to Michael’s trading performance (see the performance tab). Michael has experience performing the roles of CIO & COO. Michael is also a Director of the ABE Fund.

Prior to founding TAF Capital, Michael worked in the banking industry for 19 years. Michael spent the whole time in the financial markets, gaining experience in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Melbourne. He spent 16 years of his career trading. He is a currency specialist, with additional experience in trading commodity and fixed income products. Michael set up a proprietary trading desk in London, in addition to managing an Asian trading team in Singapore.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
